Outdoor Adventure Center
OAC
The OAC is a university based, outdoor education and recreation program offering outdoor recreation adventure trips, classes/workshops, and outdoor informational services. We provide outdoor equipment rentals and repairs. Our library contains one of the region’s most extensive collections of outdoor resources: books, magazines, periodicals, videos and DVDs, equipment catalogs, and more than 1,000 US Topographical maps of the Intermountain West.
Beacon Workshop
We will host four 50 minute sessions of 15 people per session from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. The workshop will take place in the Pond Student Union Ballroom. This workshop is free and is open to ISU staff, students, and community.
If you have your own pack, beacon, probe, and shovel, please bring them. If you do not, we will have some provided. Please register for one of the times below.
